The Ford GT has made its European debut during the Geneva Motor Show.
Set to enter production in 2016, the vehicle was revealed at the beginning of January during the 2015 NAIAS and was showcased with a different silver finish at the Chicago Motor Show. The supercar will be built in Canada by Multimatic and will cost more than the previous GT.
The Ford GT is powered by a new twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost engine that generates 600 bhp (447 kW). Power is sent to the rear 20-inch wheels through a dual-clutch seven-speed transaxle transmission with “near-instantaneous gear changes”.
No official acceleration times have been released but the company says the GT will have “outstanding acceleration” and “one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any production car”.
