A thief suffered some serious injuries after the brick he threw at a pre-facelift Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe rebounded and hit his face.

It happened last month in Ireland at the Pheasant pub in Drogheda, Co Louth where the local CCTV camera captured a wannabe thief trying to steal something from inside an E-Class Coupe. The video starts by showing the criminal trying to smash one of the car's windows with a small stone while later on he returns with a brick.

However, it doesn't go as planned as the brick rebounds off the sturdy glass of the coupe and hits the thief directly in the head, knocking him down. The perpetrator was found lying on the road by the pub's owner who asked him what happened. The thief said he was attacked and then the owner of the pub wanted to call the ambulance and police but the criminal refused, thus raising suspicions.

The pub owner's partner then noticed some damage on her car and decided to call the police who arrested the man after looking at the hilarious CCTV footage.
