Mercedes-AMG boss Tobias Moers has confirmed the company will offer a plethora of new AMG Sport variants.

In an interview with Motoring, Moers said AMG Sport variants will play an "important part" in their future in terms of business and volume.

While Mercedes has already unveiled the C450 and GLE 450 AMG Sport, Moers confirmed there will also be AMG Sport variants of models based on the MFA platform.  This likely means we can expect A- and CLA-Class AMG Sport models.

The executive also hinted at a new E-Class AMG Sport model.  It would presumably use a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 367 PS (270 kW) and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque.
