Fiat has announced plans to introduce the new Doblo Trekking at the Geneva Motor Show.

Designed to appeal to people looking for a rugged van, the Trekking has modified bumpers, plastic body side mouldings and a 10mm increased ride height.  The model also has fog lights, privacy glass, a skid plate and exclusive 16-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires.

The cabin largely carries over from the standard model but can be equipped with fabric and eco-leather seats as well as an eco-leather wrapped dashboard.  Other notable options include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control and a Uconnect infotainment system with GPS navigation.

While the van doesn't have four-wheel drive, Fiat installed a new Traction+ traction control system that promises to increase grip in "difficult terrains."

There's no word on performance specifications but Fiat confirmed the Doblo Trekking will be available in the "coming months."
