Ford has introduced a silver GT at the Chicago Auto Show.

Set to go into production late next year, the supercar has a carbon fiber monocoque and carbon fiber body panels. The car also has a curved windshield, an active rear spoiler and 20-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 tires.

Power is provided by a mid-mounted, twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine that produces more than 600 bhp (kW). It will be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which promises to deliver "near-instantaneous gear changes."

Ford has been coy on specifics but has previous said the GT will have "outstanding acceleration" and "one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any production car."

In related news, Ford Executive Vice President Joe Hinrichs has reportedly confirmed the model will be built in Canada by Multimatic.  The executive also said the model will cost more than the previous GT due to its carbon fiber construction.
