Chrysler brand President Al Gardner has revealed some new details about the 2017 Chrysler Town & Country.

Speaking to Automotive News, Gardner said the redesigned minivan will start at approximately $26,000 and top out in excess of $45,000. For comparison, the 2015 Town & Country starts at $29,995 while the range-topping Limited Platinum goes for $39,995.

While the entry-level price will fall, it will still be significantly higher than the Dodge Grand Caravan which carries a base price of just $21,395. This normally wouldn't be a problem but FCA US has decided to phase out the Dodge Grand Caravan and only offer one minivan.

The decision could cost the company a few buyers but Gardner contends the Grand Caravan's price point is "... really hard to do and none of the competition can do it either."
