Ford has announced plans to bring an updated version of the Police Interceptor Utility at next week's Chicago Auto Show.

Set to debut on February 12, the 2016 Police Interceptor Utility promises to get "even better and with more high-tech features." The attached teaser image depicts the Interceptor Utility version which will be based on the recently facelifted 2016 Explorer. Noticeable are the C-shaped fog lights along with a blue & red light bar on the roof

No further details are available at this point but we remind you the 2015MY is offered with the 3.7-liter Ti-VCT VT FFV and a 365 bhp & 350 lb-ft 3.5-liter EcoBoost with all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission.

As a reminder, Ford is also offering a Police Interceptor Sedan based on the Taurus.
