Spy photos depicting the 2016 BMW X1 with no camouflage have hit the web.
Shared by China’s AutoHome, the pictures show the xDrive 25 Li modification that will probably be launched in the country. Judging by the photos, BMW’s smallest SUV model will be gaining a bigger kidney grille and a new front bumper with chrome trim, while the headlights are similar to the recently introduced 1-Series facelift. At the back we noticed redesigned taillights and a new lower part for the bumper.
From what we know about the 2016 X1 so far, it will be based on the UKL platform and will be powered by the front wheels. The engine lineup will likely be carried over from the 2-Series Active Tourer and will include 1.5-liter 3-cylinder petrol unit and 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline and diesel motors.
The model is expected to make its official debut later this year.
