Following an annoying barrage of teaser commercials, Mercedes has officially taken the wraps of their sixty second spot for the Super Bowl.

Described as a "fresh, modern spin" on the tortoise and the hare, the clip features the woodland creatures in a classic race. Unsurprisingly, the hare takes an early lead as the tortoise slowly makes his way across the forest. The hare eventually stops to play poker, while the tortoise happens to come across a Mercedes factory putting the finishing touches on the Mercedes-AMG GT S. The rest isn't too surprising as the tortoise claims victory shortly thereafter.

As a refresher, the Mercedes-AMG GT S costs $129,900 - excluding a $925 destination fee - and features a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 510 PS (503 bhp / 375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds.
