Following yesterday's leak, Mercedes has confirmed the 2016 AMG GT S will be priced from $129,900 - excluding a $925 destination fee - in the United States.
Set to arrive in April, the AMG GT S features a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 510 PS (503 bhp / 375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds.
The range-topping model will also come nicely equipped with Nappa leather upholstery, a Burmester audio system and a COMAND infotainment system. Other highlights include Keyless-Go, Parktronic and Collision Prevention Assist PLUS.
The entry-level Mercedes-AMG GT will arrive in the spring and feature a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with 462 PS (456 bhp /339 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. There's no word on pricing but the model will run from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds.
