The 2016 Mercedes C-Class Coupe has been spied undergoing testing near the company's technical center in Germany.
Destined to become one of the most attractive cars in its segment, the model has an upscale design that is heavily influenced by the S-Class Coupe.
Starting up front, there's a stylish front fascia with a wide grille, large air intakes and LED-infused headlights. The car also has a rakish windscreen, door-mounted mirrors and an attractive roofline. The rear end is heavily camouflaged but it appears to have slender taillights and an angled trunk with an integrated spoiler.
Our spies couldn't get close enough to snap interior photos but previous shots have shown the cabin will carryover from the standard model. This means we can expect high quality materials, a free-standing infotainment system and numerous metallic accents.
Under the hood, there will be a variety of petrol and diesel options including a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 241 bhp (179 kW) and a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 329 bhp (245 kW). There should also be a C63 AMG Coupe with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 470 bhp (350 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque.
