The new Ford Mondeo has been envisioned as a shooting brake model from independent designer X-Tomi Design.

Following his Mondeo ST virtual project from October last year, the artist is ready with yet another attractive design for the model. Basically a three-door station wagon, the Mondeo Shooting Brake features harmonic lines with bigger front doors compared to the standard vehicle. No other visual improvements have been made.

It’s hard to believe Ford has plans to introduce a similar model in the near future, but a look at some of the company's models from the past shows it has actually offered shooting brakes. On the European market, for example, the manufacturer offered the Escort as a 2-door estate in its first four generations. In America, Ford had even bigger shooting brake lineup with models such as the Del Rio, the Ranch Wagon, the Falcon Wagon and etc.

Ford Mondeo Shooting Brake rendering is strange yet nice idea
