Volkswagen executives have revealed some new details about the company's future lineup.

Speaking to Automotive News, Volkswagen Development boss Dr. Hans-Jakob Neusser confirmed the company was close to deciding whether or not to build a production version of the Golf R400 concept. As he explained, "We are just in front of the decision to do it or not, but I personally think that we have good conditions to do it."

Volkswagen of America CEO Michael Horn also told the publication the company is considering a new van for the United States. While nothing has been decided, Horn said the automaker is looking at both the Caddy and the next-generation Crafter.
