The BMW 2-Series Active Tourer 7-seater has been photographed during tests in China.
As expected, the model shows a similar design to the 5-seat Active Tourer, but features a larger window between the C and the D pillar. This test prototype hasn’t been equipped with fog lights but probably the production version will come with the 5-seater front end, featuring plenty of chrome trim and fog lamps.
The model could be introduced during the Geneva Motor Show in March this year, but still nothing is confirmed. Most likely it will be offered with the same engine lineup as the 5-seater version, which means at first the vehicle will be available with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine with 136 HP (100 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft), a 2.0-liter petrol, generating 231 HP (170 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft), and a 2.0-liter diesel, producing 150 HP (110 kW) and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) of torque.
