The production-ready MG GS has been caught on camera in China.
At least four examples of the SUV have been photographed, reportedly during a dealer presentation of the model. Looking even more attractive than the press photos showed, the vehicle features LED daytime running lights, plenty of chrome trim and two-tone alloy wheels.
The MG GS, previously known as the GTS or the CS, will receive its world premiere during the Shanghai Auto Show in April with sales in China starting shortly after. The vehicle will be offered with two turbo petrol engines – 1.5 with 167 HP (123 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) and 2.0 with 220 HP (162 kW) and 350 Nm (254 lb-ft). The smaller unit will be mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox, while the more powerful powerplant will get a 6-speed DCT.
