Volvo is currently showcasing in Detroit the second generation XC90 in the sportier R-Design specification.

The all-new XC90 is one of the most elegant and stylish SUVs on sale but Volvo is also offering a version tailored to those who prefer a sportier styling with a slightly more aggressive body. The R-Design comes with a revised front grille and spoiler, integrated dual exhaust pipes, silver matte mirror covers, bespoke 20-inch wheels, silver roof rails and a silk metal window surround.

The changes continue on the inside where the XC90 R-Design gets R-Design-specific sport seats, floor mats, pedals and illuminated tread plates along with a bespoke leather key remote control.

Deliveries of the Volvo XC90 R-Design will kick off this May and customers will be able to get the SUV with the same array of four-cylinder Drive-E engines offered in the regular XC90.
