Bentley has used the North American International Auto Show to announce their highly-anticipated crossover will be called the Bentayga.

Set to debut later this year, the Bentayga is being billed as a "sector-defining SUV" that will combine "modern British luxury" with impressive "on and off road performance."

That's not much to go on but previous spy photos have shown the model will have a Continental-inspired front fascia with a prominent grille that is flanked by circular headlights. We can also expect front fender vents, a tailgate-mounted spoiler and a dual exhaust system.

The exterior styling won't win everyone over but the cabin will feature a digital instrument cluster and circular air vents that protrude from the top of the dashboard. There will also be premium leather upholstery, wood trim and metallic accents.

In a statement, Bentley CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer said “Bentayga is a name that reflects what we know our SUV will do better than any other car in the world – combine the best automotive luxury with outstanding performance to take the Bentley experience to new environments.”
