The first fully revealing official images of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider have been published online.

Following several leaks last year, this is the first time we are looking at official photos of the Italian roadster, possibly an official press shots. The model was previewed by the 4C concept in March last year and now the company is preparing for a global debut, likely to happen during the Detroit Motor Show with European premiere to take place in Geneva.

Based on the coupe version, the Spider features a carbon fiber chassis and a carbon roll-bar cover and windscreen ring. Notable changes compared to the coupe include new and more attractive headlights and a carbon fiber air intake on the driver’s side.

Power will be provided by a 1.75-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine with 240 HP (177 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. The 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration could take four and a half seconds, while the top speed will likely reach 258 km/h (160 mph).
