A camouflaged prototype of the 2015 Skoda Superb has been spied undergoing final testing in China.

We've already seen the headlight and taillight design of Czech Republic's flagship model and now a white prototype was spotted in China featuring some light disguise on the body. Speaking of which, the Superb will be 20mm longer and 50mm wider but despite the enlarged size it will drop up to 75 kg. The cargo capacity will be boosted to 625 liters with the rear seats up and to 1,760 liters once you fold them down.

Skoda will eliminate the complex dual-opening of the trunk which means the new Superb will only have a hatchback opening while the cabin will be even more spacious thanks to a wheelbase stretched by 80mm. The increased size will make the Superb one of the biggest models in the mid-size segment, just like the Octavia is among the largest compact cars.

Based on the Volkswagen Passat B8, the new Skoda Superb will be unveiled in mid-February before making a public appearance in Geneva a month later and going on sale in the summer.
