GM Europe President Karl-Thomas Neumann has downplayed the possibility of a new flagship sedan.

Speaking to Car Magazine, Neumann said the Insignia is their "big" model and a larger sedan isn't on the agenda. As he explained, "I have more urgent product ideas than a car beyond Insignia, even though everyone says you should do a Monza or a large Opel again."

Besides downplaying a flagship sedan, Neumann suggested the next-generation Meriva and Zafira will adopt crossover inspired styling. He declined to go into specifics but said the models will be more modern, urban and emotional. He also seemed to imply the next Zafira will be smaller and cheaper than its predecessor.
