X-Tomi Design is taking a stab at rendering the already confirmed Audi Q8 expected to arrive within the next three years.
BMW invented the crossover "coupe" niche with the X6 (E71) which went on sale in 2008 and it was only recently when Mercedes-Benz responded with the GLE Coupe. Obviously, Audi wants a piece of the action which is why last month they reconfirmed plans to come out with an Q8 based on the second generation Q7 but "more emotional and more sporty."
Audi's chief designer March Lichte will be in charge of styling the range-topping Q model from Ingolstadt which will be more than five meters long. It could also spawn an e-tron plug-in hybrid derivative as well as a full electric version to tackle the Tesla Model X. There should also be a range-topping RS Q8 model featuring a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 gasoline engine but it's output is unknown at this moment.
Audi says the Q8 will be out within the next three years and according to a recent report it will carry a starting price of £90,000 ($141,000 / €113,000).
