A Ferrari 250 GTO replica is up for grabs on eBay where the bidding starts at £12,000.
Ferrari built only 39 examples of the 250 GTO between the years 1962 and 1964 and the model is considered by many to be the most important prancing horse ever. Back in August at an auction organized by Bonhams at Quail Lodge during Pebble Beach, one of the cars was sold for a whopping $38,115,000.
The car depicted in these images costs just £12,000 ($18,660 / €15,310) but it's only a replica based on a 1992 Mazda MX-5 Miata and has kept the original engine. It's a nice effort but far from being even remotely impressive compared to the real deal of which only 36 units have survived over the years. The car comes with a stainless steel exhaust system with four pipes (£1,500) and has a rollcage while the underbody was recently cleaned and undersealed.
At the moment there aren't any bids and the listing will end in three days.
