Renault Group Executive Vice President Stefan Muller has revealed some new details about the company's future product lineup.

Speaking to Auto Motor und Sport, Muller said the company is planning to revamp their core lineup and the first new model will be the next-generation Laguna. He went on to say we can also expect several new crossovers that have no predecessors.

Muller declined to go into specifics but he contends the new models will be high quality products that are affordable. As a result, they won't have "unnecessarily expensive things."

The executive also downplayed the possibility of plug-in hybrids by saying their dual-motor setup is "unnecessarily difficult and very expensive." However, he noted the technology exists within the Renault-Nissan Alliance so they can respond quickly if customer demand warrants a model with plug-in hybrid technology.
