Hyundai has announced plans to introduce their new Display Audio system at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The system features a seven-inch touch-screen display that has been optimized for enhanced smartphone integrations.  While it lacks an embedded navigation system and a CD player, it makes up for it by boasting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

This will enable owners to connect their smartphone to the infotainment system via a USB port. When this occurs, drivers will be able to access their contacts, music, navigation, messaging and apps through the infotainment system.

The system will be launched on select 2016 models and will "quickly become Hyundai’s volume head unit." Entry-level models won't be left out either as the automaker is promising to provide the "best streaming multimedia and ownership experience possible."
