The prototype was spotted in a parking lot near Dublin in Ireland and was carrying camouflage on the front and rear bumpers as well as on the trunk while the headlights and taillights also had some disguise to hide the planned tweaks. We also have a photo with the interior cabin which doesn’t seem to bring any significant changes but that might not be the final design.

The car in question had a supercharged V8 5.0-liter engine which in the XJR delivers 550 HP (405 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque and works with an 8-speed auto and grants a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in 4.4 seconds before topping out at 174 mph (280 km/h). The V8 engine is also available for the Supersport model where it delivers 510 HP (375 kW) and 625 Nm (461 lb-ft) of torque through the same automatic transmission.

The Jaguar XJ facelift will be out next year while the next-gen should arrive in 2017 or 2018 with a radical design.

Special thanks go to Darren for sending us the pics!
