Sergio Marchionne's love affair with alphabet soup continues as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has announced Chrysler Group LLC will be renamed FCA US LLC.

The company didn't have much to say about the change but confirmed it is effective immediately and "does not affect the company’s headquarters location in Auburn Hills, Michigan, its holdings, management team, board or brands."

While it's sad to see the Chrysler name being retired, FCA said they remain proud of their heritage and will continue to "build upon the solid foundations first established by Walter P. Chrysler in 1925 as well as a rich Fiat heritage that dates from 1899."
