Ford is rumored to launch a new sports vehicle during the 2015 Detroit Motor Show in January next year and this car could be a successor for the GT.

According to Carscoops, the company is preparing a limited-run model with around 1,200 units to be built. Our source also says power will be provided from a more potent version of the V6 EcoBoost engine with at least 600 HP (441 kW).

The new GT will be revealed to mark the 50th anniversary of Ford winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It will reportedly hit the market as a 2016 model.
