The previous generation Nissan X-Trail will be available in China as the 2015 Dongfeng MX6.

The outdated SUV has been photographed in production guise showing a modified front end with new radiator grille and bumper. At the back we find a similar design as the X-Trail except the bumper integrated reflectors.

According to our source, the model is actually based on the Japanese vehicle and will be powered by a 2.0-liter petrol engine with 144 PS (106 kW) and 198 Nm (146 lb-ft). It will be mated to either a CVT transmission or a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Dongfeng MX6 will reportedly be produced by the Zhengzhou-Nissan joint venture and will reach the Chinese market in early 2015.

The all-new original Nissan X-Trail made its world debut during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show featuring a more stylish design, the company's improved ALL MODE 4x4i system and a 1.6-lilter diesel engine for the European market.
