Mercedes has decided to celebrate their 17 million Facebook fans by creating a unique piece of art constructed entirely out of tape.
Currently on display at the AMG Private Lounge in Affalterbach, the 'taped' AMG GT was created by a handful of designers who spent countless hours making a detailed image of the company's latest sports car. The end result is undeniably impressive as it accurately captures the car's design and the effects that light has on it.
As a refresher, the AMG GT features a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 462 PS (339 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission which enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 304 km/h (189 mph).
If that's not fast enough, the AMG GT S has a more powerful twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that develops 510 PS (375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the car to run from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph).
