Since the 2016 Mazda6 and CX-5 have already been leaked, we'll focus on the entry-level CX-3 crossover which will be unveiled on November 19th.
Judging by the sketch, the crossover will follow in the footsteps of the CX-5 and adopt a stylish Kodo design. That's where the similarities will end as the CX-3 has a more dynamic roofline and will be significantly smaller than the CX-5.
Mazda has been coy on specifications but engine options are expected to carryover from the Mazda2. This means choices could include:
- A 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-G with 75 PS (55 kW) and 135 Nm (99 lb-ft) of torque
- A 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-G with 90 PS (66 kW) and 148 Nm (109 lb-ft) of torque
- A 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-G i-ELOOP with 115 PS (85 kW) and 148 Nm (109 lb-ft) of torque
- A 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-D with 105 PS (77 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque
