If you're anxiously awaiting the arrival of the BMW M2 Coupe, you'd better be prepared for the long haul as a new report is indicating the car won't be unveiled until September.

According to BMW Blog, the highly-anticipated coupe will debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. There's doesn't appear to be a lot of evidence supporting this but previous reports have indicated the car will go into production in November, so a September debut is plausible.

BMW has been tight-lipped about specifications but the M2 is expected to use a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that develops approximately 380 PS (279 kW). This is 54 PS (39 kW) more than the M235i Coupe which can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in as little as 4.8 seconds with the optional eight-speed automatic transmission.
