Land Rover has unveiled the US-spec Discovery Sport, ahead of its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 19th.

Land Rover has unveiled the US-spec Discovery Sport, ahead of its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 19th.

Set to go on sale next year, the US-spec model will be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 240 bhp (179 kW). It will be connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system.

Land Rover was coy on additional information but they reiterated pricing will start at $37,995 and the model will be available with an optional third row seat.

The Discovery Sport will be on display alongside a variety of other models including the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover LR4. The company will also be hosting a Land Rover Experience event which will enable visitors to "test the all-terrain capability of our SUVs all without leaving the city."
