Cadillac has released the first pictures of the 2015 ATSV.R.
Set to enter competition next year, the race car features an aggressive front fascia with a slender grille that resides above carbon fiber canards and a carbon fiber front splitter. The model also has a ventilated hood, bulging wheel arches and a prominent rear wing. There's also aerodynamic mirrors and what appears to be a side exiting exhaust system.
The company declined to release specifications but previous reports have suggested the model will have a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 that develops somewhere between 500-600 bhp (372-447 kW). GT3 regulations also call for the car to weigh between 2645-2866 lbs (1200-1300 kg).
The 2015 Cadillac ATSV.R is expected to be shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show, so expect to learn more details shortly.
