Ford has once again introduced the production-ready Escort ahead of an official debut during the Guangzhou Auto Show later this month.

Set to go on sale on January 20 next year, the model is positioned between the Ford Fiesta and the Ford Focus. In terms of design, the Escort features the familiar Aston Martin-like front grille with Focus-like headlights.

Inside we find a minimalistic interior with six airbags and a Connect Radio system that allows drivers to link their smartphone to the car's infotainment system via Bluetooth connectivity with an outdated small display on the center console.

Power is provided exclusively by a 4-cylinder, 1.5-liter Ti-VCT gasoline engine with 115 PS (85 kW) and 142 Nm (105 kW). It is mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The Escort will be manufactured by the Changan-Ford joint venture. Prices will reportedly kick off at around 90,000 yuan (14,715 USD) and go up to 130,000 yuan (20,900 USD) for the fully-loaded model.
