Ford has released the first teaser image of the 2015 Everest, ahead of its debut in Beijing on November 13th.

The picture doesn't reveal much but previous spy photos have shown the model will closely resemble the concept that was introduced last year.

Ford is also keeping coy on specifications but they confirmed the Everest will be "rugged, refined and amazingly capable." That's pretty vague but engine options are expected to carryover from the Ranger with minor modifications for improved performance. There's no word on the new specifications but the 2.2-liter Duratorq TDCi four-cylinder diesel currently produces 150 PS (110 kW) and 375 Nm (277 lb-ft) of torque while the 3.2-liter Duratorq TDCi five-cylinder diesel cranks out 200 PS (147 kW) and 470 Nm (347 lb-ft) of torque.

According to Ford Asia Pacific Vice President of Product Development, Trevor Worthington, “After five years and 4,500 man-years of design and development work, we’re going to redefine what customers can expect from an SUV.” He added, “We can’t wait to show the world the latest example of our One Ford global product strategy in action."
