Hyundai has officially unveiled the HB20 R-Spec concept during the Sao Paulo Motor Show.
Based on the HB20 for the local market, the vehicle has been developed by South Korean designers especially for the auto show in Sao Paulo. Finished in matte blue, it features redesigned bumpers with new air intakes at the front and R-Spec badge on the radiator grille. Also new are the headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, the widened fenders and the 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin there are sports leather seats and dashboard, steering wheel and gearshift knob with new design and finish.
A report from last week has suggested Hyundai is considering a compact sports car that will likely be developed by the brand’s N performance division. Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Europe, Allan Rushforth, hinted it will not be a successor for the Coupe, but a global model positioned below the Veloster.
