According to a recent report, Porsche is developing an electric vehicle to battle the Tesla Model S.
Details are limited but Autocar is reporting the model is currently under development and will be a variant of the upcoming Pajun (Panamera Junior). The car is expected to be a five-door hatchback that draws styling cues from the Panamera Sport Turismo concept that debuted at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
Specifications remain a mystery but the publication says the model will likely ride on the second-generation MSB platform and weigh less than 2,190 kg (4,828 lbs). We can also expect a lithium-ion battery and an electric motor that develops roughly 416 bhp (310 kW) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. More importantly, the model should be able to travel more than 250 miles (402 km) on a single charge.
