One of eleven Eleanor Ford Mustangs ever made will go under the hammer at Mecum’s Austin event, scheduled for December 12-13.
This 1967 Mustang is number 7 of all Eleanor versions, built by Cinema Vehicle Services of North Hollywood, California, for the 2000 remake of the original 'Gone in 60 Seconds' movie from 1974. What’s more, this vehicle is one of only three actually used in the scenes, which included Nicholas Cage, Giovanni Ribisi and Angelina Jolie.
The car has a Ford 351 CI engine under the hood with Holley 700 CFM 4-barrel carburetor and high-volume fuel pump. The unit is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Other goodies include air conditioning, 4-wheel disc brakes, a Lecarra steering wheel and an Auto Meter Sport Comp tachometer.
