Hyundai has launched the 2015MY Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport which both come with a series of mechanical updates.
The engineers have installed a new electric power steering system using a 32-bit microprocessor promising to provide a "refined steering feel." It comes with the Driver Selectable Steering Mode that now benefits from a revamped Sport setting which provides a firmer steering. Moreover, both vehicles have retuned front wheel bushings that according to Hyundai will enhance the steering feel.
The 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport have also been equipped with an updated suspension with increased wheel bearing stiffness as well as lower control arm bushing stiffness that have raised the lateral stiffness of the front suspension. Lateral stiffness has also increased at the back thanks to a revised rear suspension geometry and tweaked bushings.
New standard equipment has been added for both models such as daytime running lights, auto up/down front passenger power window and driver's blind spot mirror while the Santa Fe Sport comes with a two-tone front grille. Hyundai is adding fresh Platinum Graphite and Sparkling Silver exterior paints along with a newly developed Hands-Free Smart Liftgate with Auto Open system that will automatically open the liftgate if the driver stands within a few feet of the rear bumper with the key fob in his pocket.
