Dodge has announced the 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat will be priced from $63,995 - including a $1,700 gas guzzler tax - in the United States.

Billed as the "quickest, fastest and most powerful sedan in the world," the Charger SRT Hellcat will go into production early next year and feature a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that develops 707 bhp (527 kW) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. The engine is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission that enables the car to run the quarter mile in 11.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 204 mph (328 km/h).

If that's a little too hardcore, the entry-level Charger SE costs $27,995 and comes nicely equipped with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster and a Uconnect infotainment system. The model also has Dark Brushed trim, a dual-zone climate control system and a six-speed audio system.

Power is provided by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that develops 292 bhp (217 kW) and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system.

The company also offers a variety of other variants but one of the more important ones is the $32,995 Charger R/T which features a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that develops 370 bhp (276 kW) and 395 lb-ft (535 Nm) of torque. Other notable highlights include the $39,995 Charger R/T Scat Pack and $47,385 SRT 392 which both feature a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine with 485 bhp (361 kW) and 475 lb-ft (643 Nm) of torque.
