BMW has quietly introduced the Active Hybrid 7 Individual Edition in Japan.

Set to arrive at dealerships in December, the model will be available exclusively in Mineral White or Citrine Black. Exterior changes are limited but include a sunroof, BMW Individual badging and 20-inch alloy wheels.

Interior changes are more substantial as the model comes nicely equipped with premium Merino leather upholstery, an Alcantara roof liner and a wood / leather steering. The car also has BMW Individual sill plates and piano black, ash grain white or walnut satin honey brown wood trim.

Under the hood, there's a TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. It enables the model to produce a combined maximum output of 354 PS (260 kW / 349 bhp) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. Thanks to this setup, the sedan can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, average of 6.8L/100km (34.5 mpg US / 41.5 mpg UK) and travel up to 4 km (2.4 miles) on electricity alone.

Production will be limited to 20 units and pricing starts at ¥13,100,000 ($120,095 / €95,450 / £74,995).
