The Tesla Model S P85D has been spied somewhere in the USA, prior to official debut on 9 October.
The vehicle has been spotted on an airfield by a member of the Tesla Motors Club forum. As it turns out, the Tesla D, announced yesterday, is probably just a new version of the Tesla S. Considering the EV company is currently working on its all-electric crossover Model X, already confirmed to be using two motors, one for each axle, it could be assumed the Tesla S will gain a four-wheel-drive variant.
What’s more, back in February this year Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that an AWD Model S will be revealed close to the debut of the Model X. Previous reports have suggested the vehicle in question will be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds or less.
