Bentley has officially unveiled the Mulsanne Speed at the Paris Motor Show.
Described as the "pinnacle flagship," features a familiar design but is distinguished by a dark tinted matrix grille and 21-inch forged alloy wheels. The car also has rifled exhaust tailpipes and tinted head- and taillights.
Interior changes are more dramatic as the cabin boasts diamond quilted leather seats, an indented leather headliner and Piano Black veneers with carbon fiber inlays. Other highlights include stainless steel door sill plates, drilled alloy pedals and special door handles with a "coined" finish.
Under the hood, the 6.75-liter V8 engine has been tuned to produce 537 PS (530 bhp / 395 kW) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a recalibrated eight-speed automatic transmission that has an "S" mode gives that maintains the engine speed above 2,000 rpm so the turbochargers are "always ready to deliver instantaneous performance." This setup enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 190 mph (305 km/h).
