Two fully revealing images with the 2015 Fiat 500X have emerged prior to an imminent launch.
Sharing the same platform with the Jeep Renegade, Fiat’s 500X is a petite crossover which borrows many of its styling cues from the 500 family. On top of the familiar panels there's plastic body cladding to create a more rugged appearance also enhanced by the raised suspension and the beefier two-tone alloy wheels.
Official details are not available at this point but we expect the Fiat 500X to get a Renegade-sourced engine lineup consisting of several four-cylinder MultiAir and MultiJet II units matched with a manual gearbox, a dual-clutch DDCT and a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive will be standard but more expensive versions are likely to receive an all-wheel drive layout.
An official online reveal could occur later today since the model is set to premiere tomorrow in Paris.
