Jaguar has published extensive details and images with the 2015 XE set to debut tomorrow at the Paris Motor Show.

Last month Jaguar unveiled only the hotter XE S and now the lesser members of the family have been introduced to fully rival the BMW 3-Series and other similar models. The range will kick off with the "SE" trim featuring 17-inch rims, cruise control, satellite navigation, DAB radio, multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel, glossy black trim and cloth seats.

Upgrade to "Prestige" and you get heated leather front seats with contrasting stitching, phosphor blue ambient lightning and brushed aluminum inserts. "Portfolio" is going to be the most luxurious trim for the 2015 XE as it will bring Windsor leather, two-tone instrument panel, aluminum trim, Meridian sound system, bi-xenon headlights with LED DRLs, 10-way electric front seats and 18-inch wheels.

There's also the "R-Sport" trim with Taurus heated leather front seats, two-tone 18-inch alloys, bi-xenon headlamps with LED DRLs, glossy black window surrounds, sports suspension, rear spoiler, chromed side vents and an etched aluminum exterior accents. Lastly, the Jaguar XE "S" is the sportiest derivative of the range with 19-inch wheels, a supercharged V6 engine, beefier body and a glossy black center console.

As far as engines are concerned, the 2015 Jaguar XE will be available with a four-cylinder 2.0-liter Ingenium turbodiesel motor rated at 163 HP (120 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) in the XE 2.0 Diesel 163 version and with 180 HP (132 kW) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) in the XE 2.0 Diesel 180. Both will work with a six-speed manual gearbox or an optional eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.

Up next is the XE 2.0 Petrol 200 which as the name suggests is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 200 HP (147 kW) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft). The same engine can also be had with 240 HP (177 kW) and 340 Nm (250 lb-ft) in the XE 2.0 Petrol 240, with both of them paired only to the auto 'box.

On top of the range is the XE S Petrol 340 motivated by a supercharged V6 3.0-liter engine outputting 340 HP (250 kW) and 450 Nm (331 lb-ft). It works with the automatic transmission and enables the baby Jaguar to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) from a standstill in 4.9 seconds on its way to a top speed limited to 155 mph (250 km/h).

In terms of tech goodies, the Jaguar XE will be available with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with support for Android & iOS apps), optional heads-up display benefiting from laser projection technology and there's also a forward facing stereo camera providing a 3D view of the road ahead. It can also be configured with a variety of safety and assistance systems like lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring with closing vehicle sensing, along with a semi-automated park-assist system.

The 2015 Jaguar XE will be available on order in UK starting tomorrow at a base price of £26,995.
