Renault has released a first batch of images depicting the all-new Espace set to debut next week at the Paris Motor Show.
All previous four generations of the Espace were billed as full-size MPVs but with the fifth generation Renault is targeting the crossover segment. The production version closely echoes the Initiale Paris concept from last year's Frankfurt Motor Show and represents a major departure from the fourth-gen's boxy shape.
Details about the all-new Espace are scarce at the moment but Renault does say they will offer both five and seven-seat versions while from previous spy shots we discovered it will feature a large touchscreen display. The vehicle will ride on the new CFM1 modular platform and is expected to get only four-cylinder turbocharged engines. LED headlights and taillights will be available on upper-spec versions.
A full reveal is scheduled for October 2 during the first press day of the Paris Motor Show.
