According to a recent report, the second generation Audi A5 Coupe will be presented in early 2016.
As we have reported before, the vehicle will come with an evolutionary exterior design with sportier styling cues. Now Car Magazine reveals a bolder front end with single frame grille plus more aggressive and larger air intakes are expected.
The 2016 A5 Coupe will be based on the updated MLBevo architecture that promises to be lighter, stiffer and more efficient. The platform will bring a longer wheelbase, room for optional 20-inch wheels, a host of new assistance systems and LED or matrix lighting technology.
The engine range will likely include a 1.8 TFSI with 180 bhp (134 kW), a 2.0 TFSI with 245 bhp (182 kW) and a 3.0 V6 TDI with 258 bhp (193 kW). Front-wheel-drive will be standard, while the Quattro AWD system will be available as an extra cost option.
The A5 Coupe will hit the market in spring 2016 while the Cabriolet is expected six months later.
