The bad news continues for Lotus as Car & Driver is reporting the Evora will be withdrawn from the United States.

Citing a company insider, the magazine is reporting the car's smart airbag exemption has expired and Lotus has decided against reengineering the model to meet U.S. safety regulations. That will leave the company in a pretty unfavorable position as the Evora was Lotus' only street-legal model in the United States.

While Lotus won't withdraw from the United States altogether, they'll be forced to sell track-only models for the time being.
