We are looking at the Gonow GX6, a China-only SUV that's trying hard to be a Range Rover.

Towards the end of April we saw a five-door Range Rover Evoque knockoff by the name of Landwind E32 and now another car has emerged from China looking a lot like the Range Rover. It's called the Gonow GX6 and is bound to go on sale next month in the People's Republic and it's most likely aimed at those who cannot afford a real Range Rover and will settle with a copied design.

The SUV is 4640mm long and has a 2745mm wheelbase while under the hood it will get a Mitsubishi-sourced 4-cylinder 2.4-liter engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. There could also be a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter turbodiesel coupled to a six-speed manual.

Prices for the Gonow GX6 are expected to kick off at 110,000 yuan ($17,900) and increase to 160,000 yuan ($26,053) for the fully-loaded model.
