Today is the first ever Formula E ePrix in Beijing, China. Nicolas Prost (e.dams-Renault) has already clinched pole position ahead of both Audi Sport ABT drivers - Lucas di Grassi and Daniel Abt.
But what’s more interesting ahead of the real race is the BMW i8 safety vehicle. Qualcomm, an official technology partner of the championship, has taken the electric supercar for some drifts only to prove their wireless charging technology Halo works under all conditions.
Formula E driver Nelson Piquet Jr. sits behind the wheel and shows us the i8 is pretty good at drifting, while engineers from company explain how they're bringing Qualcomm inventions into cars.
